Just another dreary Sunday

This was my Sunday outfit. So how do I spend my weekends?  Lately, packing.  A good percentage of my shoes are packed. I think I have three very lonely pairs left on one set of shelves.  THERE’S a reality check right there! My mother’s dishes are packed safely away, as are the Limoges dishes.  Soon we will have lovely packing boxes for background scenery on rainy days, as they’re stacked head-high around the house.

This past Sunday was mani-pedi and food shopping. Dressed like this?  Oh hell yea.

Easter 2014

I hope everyone had a wonderful, blessed Easter. We had a glorious, quiet day at home this year. No chocolate, no jelly beans, healthy dinner for 4 (recipes to be posted later this week!) and thrifty outfits.  Deviled eggs, Lamb chops., prosciutto wrapped asparagus, Fresh string beans with Dijon-dill sauce, “smashed” parsnips and turnips,  and for dessert , Mixed berry trifle with flourless chocolate cake and whipped cream. It was delicious. Dinner by Katie, Dessert by yours truly.
